vista not allowing copying files

Vista not allowing copying files

Hi, I have a XP machine in a NT domain and I have a Vista machine outside domain. I shared a folder on XP machine and try to browse to the folder from the Vista machine, it asks for the domain authentication and I authenticate as normal and finally can open the folder and see the folder contents in the explorer. But when I try to copy to that folder, it doesn't allow, but pops up with some security error. Conversly I was bound to share a folder on Vista and access it from the XP machine to copy over the files. What is the issue?
Thanks, Vipin

What was the error message that you're getting? Possibly it's due to the ability to isolate individual computers and domains from the Vista network. The feature is called "Server and Domain Isolation". I believe it's configured in the Advanced Settings of Windows Firewall, but you should be able to find more information on the Help And Support pages.
